The golf course remains a popular destination for tourists. the main attraction being the challenging layout built to USGA specifications and rated 29 in South Africa. Set in a nature reserve, the indigenous Flora attracts a large variety of bird life and small animals like antelope and bush pig, etc. The site has also become popular with the local bird-watching club and is home to a large colourful bird known as the Knysna Loerie (Taurco corythaix). The number of rounds played per annum is 42 000. During the summer holiday season (December and January) the number of rounds peaks at the maximum daily capacity of the golf course. The weather in the months of November, February, March and April is also good and the number of rounds played in these months is about 10% below the December/January peak. Booking is essential |
